"Huo Jingtang, good morning." She greeted him with a warm smile.
"Qin Yucen, good morning." His voice was soft, as he leaned down to kiss her lips, as if making a solemn declaration.
Although his movement was gentle, she could feel the heavy promise in his heart. After this night, she no longer had any reason to push him away, nor any reason to distrust him.
Time was getting late, and though Huo Jingtang was reluctant to leave her, he had work commitments. He got up briskly, "Do you have class today? Should I call in sick for you?"
"No need, I can manage." She didn't want to miss class, "I'm not as frail as you think."
Huo Jingtang knew her character and didn't insist. He went to the wardrobe, picked out a white shirt, elegantly fastened the cufflinks, put on his trousers, and walked out looking fresh and sharp.
Now she was left alone in the room...
She lay on the bed, clutching the blanket close, and his scent lingered in the air, refusing to fade away...
