The fake scar fell from his fingertip, landing on one side of the washbasin.
"You haven't checked behind the door!"
After reminding Chu Nanxi, Li Hannian strode out of the bathroom.
Chu Nanxi turned her face, looked towards the door side, and noticed the fake scar next to the washbasin. She was thrilled, hurried over, and picked up the scar, clutching it tightly in her palm.
She trotted back to her room, cleaned the scar, stuck it back on her face, and her heart finally settled back to its place.
Staring at herself in the mirror with the scar reattached, Chu Nanxi finally regained a sense of security.
The door was knocked; she stepped forward to greet whoever was outside.
"Here!"
Her nasal voice was still heavy, but her tone rose slightly, brimming with cheerfulness.
Li Hannian came in carrying a medicine box, his gaze sweeping over the scar she had reapplied.
"Aren't you getting into bed?"
"It's not that serious, just taking a couple of pills will do."
