Chereads / I Am the White Moonlight of Mr. CEO / Chapter 256 - 256, that's not my son!

Chapter 256 - 256, that's not my son!

After surgery, George had been in a comatose state.

Because of stomach discomfort, he would not be able to eat for the next two days and would have to wait until the third day to have some liquid food.

The female police officer in charge of George's care reported the situation to Zhang Wei.

Zhang Wei arranged for another female officer to alternate with her in caring for George.

Meanwhile, Chen Shan finally confessed her home address after being locked in the dark room by Zhang Wei.

So, at eleven o'clock that night.

Lucy was sound asleep in her small bed, while Zorn was still frantically playing computer games.

When the police came ringing the doorbell, he completely ignored it!

Just like when Chen Shan came home and rang the doorbell earlier that day, he ignored it as well and continued playing his games, letting George answer the door.

The police, unable to get someone to answer, furrowed their brows and kicked the door open with a flying kick!

An hour later.

The sleeping Lucy was brought to the room where Chen Shan was.

The room was small, with a single bed, a small table, a door, a window, and an en-suite bathroom.

Seeing her daughter, Chen Shan felt much more at ease.

When she took her daughter, her face showed clear relief.

She no longer had to fear her daughter crying in misery from not finding her mother or not being looked after.

Zhang Wei watched her, then retorted, "Your son is in the hospital with stomach bleeding, how come you never thought to ask about him until now?"

Chen Shan dared not speak.

She was afraid the more she said, the more mistakes she would make.

Zhang Wei turned and left, letting the mother and daughter rest first, and went to meet Zorn.

Zorn was a man even less sensible than Chen Shan.

Upon entering a police station in China, he was directly locked in a dark room, firmly seated on an isolated bench.

Realizing something was wrong, he immediately shouted, "I am an Italian citizen, you have no right to arrest me!"

Zhang Wei sat opposite him.

He said coldly, "Any citizen of any country, if they break the law within Chinese territory, will be subject to the sanctions of Chinese law!"

Zorn laughed again, "Don't joke, hey, buddy, relax a bit. The worst Chinese people do to children is to reprimand and educate them!"

"Heh~" Zhang Wei continued, "Our country does not have specific laws against child abuse.

However, our criminal law article 260 specifies that, abusing family members, if the circumstances are serious, shall be sentenced to no more than two years of fixed-term imprisonment, criminal detention or control.

If the crime causes the victim to be seriously injured or die, the sentence shall be no less than two years but no more than seven years of fixed-term imprisonment.

You abused that child, which is considered abusing a family member!"

"Don't be ridiculous!" Zorn said exasperatedly, "That kid is not my son! I have never acknowledged him! My wife picked him up from a dumpster in Italy! We are good people, we raised him from an infant, provided him with food and clothes, but I have never acknowledged him as my family!"

Zhang Wei stared at Zorn.

He always felt this guy was quite slippery, very experienced in dealing with the police.

A knocking sound came from the dark room.

An officer handed over several reports, "Wei Ge, these are this kid's child abuse records from Italy, he has a criminal record there."

Zhang Wei's face darkened as he clenched his fist, tapping on the table while restraining something, "How many times have I said, don't call me Wei Ge!"

"Zhang Ge! Zhang Ge!" the officer quickly corrected himself, yet stifled a laugh.

Zhang Wei, feeling helpless, picked up the documents and looked at them, then took out his phone to send a text message to the policewoman at the hospital, "Have the doctor take the child's DNA, it's very likely he was trafficked abroad."

Policewoman: "Yes, I will have the doctor handle it immediately."
