"I did volunteer work in Europe!"
Gu Xinzhou blurted out!
She stared at Song Zhen, trying her best to widen her eyes and keep her expression as sincere as possible, fearing he'd spot any flaw.
But what she didn't know was her biggest flaw was her hands gripping his arms.
These small hands were trembling slightly from the force they exerted!
This look of feigned bravery despite clear fear made Song Zhen certain of something.
He curled his lips into a smile, "That's Cassie's child, isn't it?"
Gu Xinzhou was momentarily short-circuited, "Huh?"
Song Zhen smiled confidently, and when he looked up again, damn it!
Cassie and that child had both vanished!
Gu Xinzhou felt relieved inside and immediately let go of Song Zhen.
And then, she took a few steps back to keep her distance from him.
Song Zhen's face darkened immediately!
He walked forward, looking left and right, but there was no trace of Cassie!
Turning back, he saw Gu Xinzhou looking impatiently elsewhere, "Song Zhen, you've made your point, now go do whatever you need to do. I have to get back home!"
She had figured it out.
Song Zhen would never allow her to stay in a hotel.
As long as she wasn't here, he wouldn't be either.
She turned to leave.
Song Zhen stood there for a while and then gestured to Qi Lei.
Immediately, Qi Lei handed over the car keys, assigned a group to secretly protect Song Zhen, and left another group with him to conduct a thorough search of the hotel.
Gu Xinzhou wouldn't understand Song Zhen's schemes.
She walked a few steps, then looking back when she noticed Song Zhen hadn't followed, she glanced at him.
And with that glance, the curve of Song Zhen's mouth bent further.
He stepped forward, smiling gently, "I'll take you home."
Gu Xinzhou, "Okay."
The trip back was uneventful.
Song Zhen didn't speak, and Gu Xinzhou, content to be left to her own devices, leaned on the window, staring outside.
It must be said, China's urbanization is getting better and better. Living in Italian cities, many streets still look as they did hundreds of years ago, and many buildings are centuries old, not as advanced and developed as China.
If possible, she really wanted McDull to receive an education here and become a child who understands and loves China.
The car stopped at the entrance of the Gu Mansion.
Gu Xinzhou hurried out of the car.
Song Zhen also got out, but he went to the trunk and brought out the large bouquet of fragrant colored Red Roses he had given her that day.
When Gu Xinzhou saw them, she felt a tingling in her scalp.
She turned and quickly walked toward the house.
Song Zhen, however, holding the flowers, chased after her, with a rare, shy smile on his clear-cut face, "Flowers! Flowers!"
"Are you poisoned or what?" Gu Xinzhou was scared to death, "Go away! Take them, I don't want them!"
Song Zhen quickly stepped forward, blocking her path.
All the lights in the courtyard were on.
Song Zhen's features were bathed in the soft light, making him look especially tender.
Smiling like a fresh, young man, his eyes sparkling with deep affection, he offered her the flowers, "Come on, take them!"
Gu Xinzhou, "..."
She ran to the left.
He blocked her.
She ran to the right.
He blocked her.
Standing still, she grew anxious, "You …"
"Take them, and I'll go," Song Zhen said with a smile, "If you don't, I'll follow you inside, and then everyone will see."
He stated his shameless, unscrupulous, and unabashed words as naturally as one would comment on the weather.
Gu Xinzhou suspected that he really would barge in!
Biting her lip, she had no choice but to take the flowers, glowering at him, "Get lost!"
Song Zhen, delighted, almost skipped ahead of her, "I'll help you open the door!"
