The room was fine, as Gu Xinzhou always kept a small desk lamp on, just so he could check on the child at any time during the night.
So when McDull came out, he wasn't scared or frightened.
But once he left the room, he was terrified.
The apartment wasn't pitch black, there were tiny night lights designed around the base of the walls. The light from these night lights wasn't strong and couldn't illuminate the entire room, but they could light the path below just enough to prevent someone from running into a wall.
McDull walked carefully, his shadow magnified immensely and cast upon the walls.
This made him suffer even more.
His chubby little body was almost squatting on the ground as he cautiously moved forward.
The wicked queen from the cartoons, Grey Wolf, monsters… they all seemed to appear faintly within the elusive halo of light.
Moreover, this was McDull's first visit here.
He wasn't very familiar with the layout and terrain of the apartment.
