McDull had fallen asleep in the warm embrace of Gu Xinzhou.
The night grew deeper, yet Gu Xinzhou had not a trace of sleepiness.
She got out of bed, walked over to the desk, and took Song Zhen's fountain pen and some paper, beginning to write a pledge.
After two beginnings, neither of which she was satisfied with, she tore them up.
Suddenly, the door opened.
Gu Xinzhou looked up in surprise to find Song Zhen walking in.
Song Zhen seemed just as surprised that she had not gone to sleep yet. Seeing her sitting at the desk holding a pen, his expression grew more serious, "Not sleeping yet?"
Gu Xinzhou awkwardly set down the pen, her gaze falling on the shredded paper, hoping he wouldn't notice.
Song Zhen went in and took out pajamas from the wardrobe and proceeded to the restroom.
Gu Xinzhou sat there, listening to the pattering sound of water in the bathroom, feeling her face grow inexplicably hot.
She ruffled her hair irritably.
