"She was a passable interpreter, but after an accident, she was transferred away. I really didn't expect that after so many years, her temperament still hasn't changed."
"What kind of accident did she have?"
"She used to do simultaneous interpreting in our department, and one time she was working in a pair to interpret for an international conference. The other interpreter was her senior, and for some reason, probably health-related, she couldn't continue."
"Yang Yanyan didn't take over?"
"No, she waited until it was her turn before she even spoke. That conference, the French simultaneous interpretation was interrupted for six minutes."
"Wow. That's quite something. What happened after? How was the matter dealt with?"
"Her senior was transferred out of the Translation Office due to health reasons, to the embassy in Belgium. Yang Yanyan, however, was disciplined and transferred away from our department."
