I said, "Zuzu, slow down, wait for me."
As I spoke, I tried to catch up, but Zuzu didn't look back, joyfully playing under the shade of the trees, getting farther and farther from me. I became anxious and quickened my pace, my movements becoming awkward, and I suddenly fell to the ground, wincing in pain, and finally cried out.
Struggling through the pain, I awakened from the dream, my eyes opening to a sea of whiteness, and a foreign face, kind and gentle, softly asked me, "Miss, what is your name?"
So God turned out to be French, and luckily, I had learned the language.
"Am I in heaven?"
"Paris Sacred Heart Hospital."
"It hurts."
"You have multiple external injuries, but don't worry, they're all minor."
"I'd like to go for a walk."
"You'll need some more time."
"Thank you. I'm a Chinese exchange student, Qiao Fei, currently enrolled at Paul Valery University."
