"No, no, you're absolutely right," said Shen's mother with a laugh. "Grandpa has a stern exterior but a kind heart. You'll get to know him better as you spend more time together."
Han Yingying shook her head politely but firmly. "I'm afraid of him, I don't want to be around him."
"Alright, you don't have to be around him."
"Auntie, it's getting late. I should go change Shen Mosheng's dressing," Yingying said.
"Go ahead."
Han Yingying stole a quick glance at Shen Mosheng.
Feeling self-conscious, Shen Mosheng stood up, took off his shirt, and lay down on the bed.
Shen's mother watched the interaction between the two with a smile so deep it seemed almost unbreakable.
After finishing with the medicine, Han Yingying stood up to leave.
Shen Mosheng hurriedly got up, fastening his buttons as he said, "I'll walk you."
