"Xiaoguai, I'm sorry, I only just found out myself. You'll forgive Mommy, right?" Wen Wan cradled Xiaoguai's face and asked him softly.
Xiaoguai was silent for a few seconds before finally nodding, "Mm."
Wen Wan hugged Xiaoguai into her arms, her chin rubbing the top of his head, a tear sliding from the corner of her eye, carrying a touch of joy and excitement.
"From now on, Mommy will never leave you behind again, no matter where she goes," Wen Wan stroked Xiaoguai's hair, promising him, "We will never be apart."
Xiaoguai's small hands slowly wrapped around Wen Wan's back, his eyes slightly red. To keep the tears from falling, he snuggled closer in her embrace.
Wen Wan was amused by Xiaoguai's gestures and teased, "Shouldn't you change how you address me now? Want to try calling me Mommy?"
