Bo's mother mechanically lifted her head and stared at Bo's high-ranking father across from her, engrossed in his newspaper. It took her a while to find her voice, "Husband..."
Every time Bo's mother called him husband, he would falter and start to tremble.
So his hand clutching the newspaper shivered slightly, and he said to Bo's mother, "Speak properly."
He coughed uncomfortably.
Bo's mother was truly astounded as she stared at Bo's high-ranking father for a long time, then closed her eyes and announced, "Your son is getting married."
Bo's high-ranking father uttered an "Oh" and continued to focus on his newspaper. One second, two seconds, three seconds passed, and then he jumped up from the sofa, "Wait, what did you just say? Who's getting married?"
Bo's mother thought he could remain calm, so feeling satisfied, she repeated it, "Your son is getting married."
