Chapter 47 - Beauty

Wen Zhi didn't speak, silently turning around to open the bag.

It was a wine-red halter dress, purely handmade. There were no visible seams or extra embellishments because the color red was striking enough on its own.

Bei Sheng walked over to the bed, sat down, stretched her arm and tilted her upper body, and raised her face to ask, "Do you like it? I picked it out for you myself."

Wen Zhi nodded her head, saying she liked it, but "Red is too flamboyant."

"Flamboyant is good! You're young, and vibrant colors make you look beautiful and radiant! Look at the clothes you normally wear, they make you look old before your time, not fitting for your age at all," Bei Sheng asserted categorically.

Wen Zhi hesitated slightly.

She hadn't worn such vivid colors for a long time.

Bei Sheng bluntly asked, "You're clearly beautiful, why do you hide your real face?"

Wen Zhi's expression froze, and she raised her hand to touch her bangs and glasses.
