The forest… There was something odd about it.
Not too far away from them a rabbit popped out of a hole, stared at them for a few minutes before retreating, that was not all. Chari could hear coos of the owl and the chirping of the crickets.
In any other situation this would have been normal, but considering that they were in a forest Tainted class beasts were present it was very odd.
This was because animals were very sensitive to higher class beasts, if one was in the area the whole ecosystem would be quiet, cowering in fear.
Those that could move long distances would abandon their location and seek safety elsewhere while the insects would begin to act in abnormal patterns.
It was only when the beast present in the ecosystem had stayed there for so long that it had practically become part of the system did the animals gain a little bit of normality, but that was not the case here.
This forest was far too normal.
