Her words hung in the air like miasma with each Lord present giving her suggestion some degree of thought.
For a brief moment, Chari wondered if their meeting really was a diversion for a much bigger scheme or if they actually planned on reaching some sort of agreeable decision.
There was an easy way to find out though. From the faint reactions he had noticed from all parties present it was obvious that their questions were not rehearsed.
They were trying to hide their true intentions behind the guise of an actual negotiation.
It was far too easy to break their little charade. And so Chari spoke for the first time since the start of the meeting.
When he did, everyone in the room turned to regard him, curious about what the young man who had been silent throughout the entire conversation would have to say.
