Chapter 48 - Chapter 48: The Odd Customer

Charlotte decided to make room for herself and sat behind the reception desk, planning to create some promotional materials.

Since she had already started preparing the water, it was time to let nearby survivors know about the hotel.

With the high-temperature season upon them, there were more opportunities to earn points.

"System, is there a quick way to advertise? For example, through birds distributing flyers or helicopters broadcasting messages?"

[None]

The system's responses were becoming increasingly concise.

"Do we have any transportation tools under the hotel's name?"

[Delivery vehicle, not unlocked]

"How many points to unlock it?"

[100 points required for early unlocking]

"Alright, pay from the public account."

[Ding, request approved. Please check.]

Charlotte opened the hotel's asset list and indeed saw a ridiculously flashy pink electric scooter with an oversized insulation box on the back.

"System, make 50 flyers. They should be simple and elegant, preferably with directional features. No other special requirements. Place them in my office once done."

[Received]

Charlotte got up and walked into the office, took out the delivery vehicle, and unlocked it with her fingerprint. She then rode it into the lobby, intentionally honking twice to surprise Marni, who was diligently working.

"You have cars?" Marni was astonished, unable to close her mouth as she saw the bright pink scooter.

Was she planning to ride it to the base for promotion tomorrow? That seemed too risky!

With so many zombies on the road, could this small scooter outrun them? It would be a disaster if the zombies followed her!

Charlotte, seemingly having pulled off a prank, couldn't stop laughing.

"It works. Just needs charging."

She jumped off the scooter and took out the charger to begin charging.

Marni's mouth twitched.

Rich and extravagant!

With a beep, the scooter's screen showed that it was charging, with an estimated time of 6 hours.

At the same time, Charlotte received a notification from the system that the flyers were ready, and she needed to pay 50 points.

After making the payment, several stacks of flyers were placed in her office.

Charlotte planned to visit the Third Base tomorrow, bringing some water and a few boxes of meals.

As she thought about it, she suddenly realized she had forgotten to remove the meals from the two machines and put them in the refrigerator these past few days.

Ah, what a waste! She had spent a lot of points!

Feeling regretful, she ran to the machines to see if she could salvage anything. After several attempts, she finally gave up.

She was definitely too busy recently, having forgotten even basic tasks. It seemed she really needed some assistants!

Charlotte would never admit it was because she got too engrossed in variety shows!

To prevent forgetting again today, she took out all the meals from the machines and placed them in the freezer. Then she had Bear bring out a microwave from her office and set it up on a rack.

This way, guests who were tired of the restaurant's food could buy meals here and heat them up in the microwave.

A complete service!

"Is there any customer ouside?" Marni called out softly, her face showing a strange expression as she gestured outside.

Charlotte turned her head.

The person outside looked… quite unique.

He was dressed in a striking green and white checkered outfit, with baggy pants tightly cinched at the ends. His arms were crossed, and the sleeves had long tassels hanging down, while the collar was high and slightly covered his sharp jawline.

His face was handsome and delicate, but he had a few long feathers stuck in his head?

Under Charlotte's puzzled gaze, he pushed the door open and walked in.

"Hello, guest. Are you looking for accommodation?"

The oddly dressed man didn't answer but instead looked around the lobby, his eyes lighting up with increasing satisfaction. His mouth curved into a smile, revealing dimples, making his smile very attractive.

"Guest?" Charlotte tilted her head, wondering if she had encountered a fool.

"Beautiful sister, my name is Xavier. Would you like some leg ornaments?" After inspecting the lobby, the strange man took out the feathers from his head, knelt on one knee, and presented them to her with both hands, his pretty eyes blinking innocently.

Charlotte: ???

"Um… guest, please get up. This store only provides accommodation…"

"Accommodation? Is that staying with you, sister?" Xavier tilted his head, his mouth slightly open, eyes full of confusion and bewilderment. He looked so cute that one couldn't help but want to cuddle him and ruffle his hair.

This was a trick that always worked for him. He knew that no woman could resist this look, feeling compelled to give their all.

Just look at the older woman nearby, who had a face full of affection, showing no signs of suspicion or wariness toward a stranger.

Inside, Xavier felt very smug. He thought of himself as a little fox spirit, irresistible to everyone.

But this beautiful sister, so pretty, so fair, and with such long legs… he would love to spend more time with her...

"Sister~ come to my arms~ let me take care of you~"

"Bear, beat him up and throw him out!"

Charlotte's face turned green with anger. How dare he speak so arrogantly!

Xavier was stunned. Was this not the plot he was used to?

"No, no, no! Sister, I'm just joking! I won't do it again! I want accommodation! I want accommodation!" Xavier quickly jumped up, dodging Bear's furry paws.

He was not going to leave such a nice place!

Charlotte sneered and didn't call off the attack.

Xavier had to awkwardly dodge Bear's assaults, continuously pleading for mercy.

"Tony! Come out here and explain!"

Seeing Charlotte not softening her stance and himself being beaten mercilessly by Bear, Xavier gritted his teeth and shouted towards the door.

Distracted, he was tripped by Bear's sweep and was soon pinned down under Bear's heavy weight, struggling to breathe.

Charlotte looked expressionlessly at the door, where there was another accomplice.

In the corner, Tony watched Xavier being beaten and was thrilled. He wished he could replace Bear and join in the fun.

Hit harder! Yes, like that!

Left hook! Right hook! Shoulder throw! Mountain crush!

Well done!!

Tony waved his fists, watching with delight as Xavier's face turned purple.

Haha, serve you right for being so arrogant! You ran into a brick wall!

Boss, you're amazing!

Tony gave Charlotte an admiring glance, then suddenly froze, his expression stiffening.

"Are you not coming in because you want me to invite you?"

"No, no, I'm coming right in!"

Tony, with a fawning smile, quickly walked into the lobby. He was astonished by the cool air that greeted him, instantly refreshing and clearing his previous irritation.

This was living!

"Did you come to cause trouble?" Charlotte frowned, her gaze sharp.

"No! We swear, we just came for accommodation!" Tony, not daring to admit they were here to hitch a ride on the boss's coattails, quickly shifted to a safer explanation.

Xavier, lying on the floor with a swollen face, nodded in agreement.

"Even if you were rude to the owner and still want to stay? This hotel does not lack customers, and I will not accept customers like you. Please leave and don't come back to cause trouble unless you want to reincarnate sooner!"

Charlotte waved her hand, not giving them a chance to argue, and directly had Bear throw them out.

Tony, showing great foresight, quickly followed Bear and rolled out the door, mimicking Xavier's position.
