Last time, we left off with the Black Bear Spirit telling the Six-Eared Macaque to wait while it climbed the mountain to see Wukong.
Upon reaching the gate of Water Curtain Cave, the Black Bear Spirit stated its purpose and only then did the little demons guarding the mountain go to find the Monkey King to pass along the message. Known for his impatience, Wukong received the news and with a somersault, descended from the mountain, landing right in front of the Black Bear Spirit.
"Heh heh, heh heh! You mangy bear, your headband's actually been removed? I always said that if we ever met, I could help you remove that headband," said Sun Wukong.
"Wukong my brother, you jest. I had my own fortunate encounter, didn't I?" replied the Black Bear Spirit.
"What brings you to seek out old Sun? You're not here to repay a debt of gratitude, are you?" Wukong inquired.
