Master of the Black Nest did not speak of a lengthy scripture: it consisted of merely fifty-four lines, totaling two hundred seventy characters. Yet, this scripture was revered as the essential scripture for true cultivation and the gateway to enlightenment.
For those who practice Buddhism, this scripture was the beginning. Lu Yu pondered carefully and discovered that the scripture spoke of what was known as The Way of Heart Cultivation, seeing all forms as formless, thereby understanding nature and perceiving the heart. With no obstructions in the heart, divine skills would naturally arise.
Had Lu Yu not received this opportunity, this scripture alone could have set him on the path of cultivation, all roads leading eventually to sublimating the Five Qi. Though it was particularly effective during the Qi Cultivation Foundation Building stage and slightly easier than the Heavenly Gate Foundation Establishment, it was not significantly simpler.
