In the Purple Bamboo Forest of the South Sea, Bodhisattva Guanyin held the Calamity Book in her hands, gazing at the number of calamities displayed on it. She silently chanted a Buddha's name in her heart, her face showing a trace of joy.
Ever since the calamity of falling into the Tongtian River, another calamity had been added to the Calamity Book, the entrapment in the Golden Helmet Cave.
This pleased Bodhisattva Guanyin, who nodded in satisfaction.
"Indeed, it is worthy of the Supreme Elder Lord, only with his intervention is the outcome truly assured!" As she saw the additional calamity on the Calamity Book, Bodhisattva Guanyin nodded to herself in agreement.
On her journey, Bodhisattva Guanyin had engineered many calamities. However, due to Jiang Liu's increasingly strong abilities and the protection his disciples provided, many supposed calamities hardly counted as such, much to the concern of Guanyin.
