Li Ping'an asked the Ghost Taoist in front of him, puzzled:

"The Black Sky Bodhisattva was originally one of the many Bodhisattvas of the Great Thunder Monastery of the Western Heavens."
"Later, she fell into devilry and became one of the evil demons. Afterward, the Black Sky Bodhisattva was killed by the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, but her soul wasn't dispersed and was sealed away."
"However, the Black Sky Bodhisattva also has many followers. It is rumored that after falling into devilry, she specialized in surviving by devouring human souls. Anyone whose soul she devoured could not reincarnate and would disappear forever!"
