The return of the Myriad Races marked the beginning of the Great Era of Contention; for Flower-Fruit Mountain, this was a golden opportunity, but at the same time, a tremendous challenge.
Flower-Fruit Mountain was in a period of rapid development. If Sun Wukong wanted to seize this chance to reestablish the Demon Clan's Heavenly Court, he had to take advantage of the Journey to the West to Seek Scriptures and obtain ample merit and destiny.
Once the Journey to the West to Seek Scriptures was successful, the Heavenly Dao would undoubtedly bestow a vast amount of merit and destiny. This, Sun Wukong and the others had anticipated, and so too had the returning Myriad Races; when the time came, probably everyone would want to meddle and claim their share of the spoils!
"When the enemy brings the battle, we'll meet them head-on; when floods come, we'll build barriers! Whoever dares to interfere, we'll break his hands!"
