Three muffled thuds sounded, and the brilliance within the eyes of the three gigantic mantises froze instantly. Their bodies began to disintegrate rapidly from the point where the Ruyi Golden-Hooped Rod struck, soon crumbling into dust; under this attack, they were thoroughly annihilated.
Sun Wukong stood aloft, watching as the three gigantic mantises dissipated into smoke and ash. He suddenly experienced an inexplicable moment of enlightenment and quietly closed his eyes. Above his head, two ethereal shadows manifested, the Good Corpse and the Evil Corpse, each displaying distinct expressions. Soon after, a third shadow also emerged, different from the first two in that it was extremely faint, and not fully revealed, as if some force bound it inside Sun Wukong's body.
This was the Corpse of Desire, the Third Corpse that Sun Wukong sought to slay!
