Samantabhadra Bodhisattva's expression darkened, "Guanyin, what do you mean?"
"What do you think it means?"
Guanyin Bodhisattva continued with a cold laugh, "Samantabhadra, do you really think the Buddha just wanted us to deliver a message? This is clearly a test. Can't you see it?"
The words of Guanyin Bodhisattva caused Samantabhadra Bodhisattva's expression to change abruptly: "A test? Yes, it's a test! Indeed, it's a test! Damn it, how did I not realize it?"
Samantabhadra Bodhisattva wasn't a fool. With Guanyin Bodhisattva's reminder, he quickly realized—given the strength of the Tathagata Buddha, if he truly wanted to send a message to the Jade Emperor, a single thought would suffice. Why would he need both of them, two great Bodhisattvas, to make the trip? And he instructed them not to peek, clearly testing them!
The Tathagata Buddha had begun to suspect them!
"Now, how should we respond?"
