Zi Lan Fairy watched in horror as Sun Wukong's figure was pressed down by the Tathagata Buddha's giant golden hand; she let out an involuntary scream. Reason told her that she should take advantage of the Tathagata Buddha's disregard for her and head to the Doushui Palace to seek refuge from the Grand Supreme Elderly Lord, as Wukong had told her. Yet, a voice inside her screamed so loudly that she couldn't bring herself to move her feet!
She couldn't just watch as Sun Wukong sacrificed his own life to secure her chance to escape. Zi Lan Fairy would rather die together with Sun Wukong than escape alone!
