The next day, Lin Yi woke up as the sky was beginning to lighten.
"Wife, you're up so early," Li Chen said as he came in from outside. From the sweat on his body, it was clear that he must have just finished his morning exercise.
"Yeah, there's a lot to handle at the company today," Lin Yi said.
"Then let's have breakfast quickly," Li Chen pointed to the prepared breakfast on the table, courtesy of Aunt Wang.
"Right," Li Chen said, turning to Lin Yi, "I won't be going to work today. There have been some recent tricky issues, so I plan to conduct a personal investigation first."
"Mhm," Lin Yi nodded, "You do your thing; I've got the company matters covered!"
"You're the best, wifey. Come here and give me a kiss!" Li Chen said with a smile, leaning in for a kiss.
"Get away," Lin Yi pushed Li Chen slightly, "Aunt Wang is watching over there."
