Audrey had intended to deceive Li Chen and then call someone over while he was off guard, but seeing him so weak, her heart softened, and she wondered if he might not be a bad person after all—they didn't seem as fierce as she thought.
"Are you, are you okay?" Audrey bent down, asking with a curious and cautious look on her face.
Li Chen, with his eyes closed, nodded. He had recovered significantly; in fact, the Pill he had taken earlier was effective, and he was almost back to normal now. Even the side effects of the Pill had been forcefully suppressed by him.
Audrey looked at Li Chen, who had his eyes shut and wasn't speaking, clearly wanting to understand more, but at that moment, there came a round of shouting from downstairs.
"Audrey!"
Hearing this voice, Audrey's delicate brows furrowed—it was that annoying guy again.
