Li Chen was delighted; if that was the case, it would be wonderful since the main scientific research was all in North America. Developing Z substance by himself was just too difficult.
Li Chen nodded, "I've tried here too. I'll send you some information later, have your people there work on it based on my progress, separately. That should be faster."
"Okay," Alice agreed from the other end.
"How are things with Ghost King?" Li Chen asked again.
"Haven't seen him." Alice frowned, "Ever since he returned from Huaxia, he's gone into hiding; my people haven't been able to locate him in the short run."
"Keep an eye out."
After chatting a bit more with Alice and getting a general idea of the situation, Li Chen hung up.
That evening, Lin Yi also came back, and Li Chen quickly helped Lin Yi with her bags.
"You're so attentive, there must be something bad going on," Lin Yi said, her lips curling into a slight smile.
Li Chen leaned into Lin Yi's ear, "You'll know soon."
