Upon seeing Zhang Xiaobei enter, two police officers immediately stood up to greet him.
While they might not recognize others, Zhang Xiaobei was a different story; his name was already well known to them.
Setting aside his relationship with Jiang Changhai, just the fact that he had, not long ago, backed the forensic expert Yuan Jing into a corner by himself, was enough to command respect.
"Have you found any clues?" Zhang Xiaobei asked with a slight smile, by way of a greeting.
"Mr. Zhang, we've seen this kind of case before, and although we have some experience, we still haven't discovered anything unusual this time. Moreover, based on our experience, this case seems even more complicated than the last," said the police officers.
"Really? How so?" Zhang Xiaobei asked as he reached for the officers' notes and began to flip through them while he spoke.
