Chapter 14 - Chapter 13 This is My Place

"What's the problem now, someone sitting here again?"

Xiao Yi was truly astonished this time. If he had previously taken the girl's seat and had already given it up, why wasn't he allowed to sit next to it?

"Kid, are you asking for a beating? Don't you know that Sister Hua always likes to sit alone and hates being disturbed by others around her?"

Seeing Xiao Yi's puzzled face, the burly man felt a great loss of face and bellowed at him with a raised voice.

"Oh."

Xiao Yi finally understood. The beauty liked her peace and quiet, and this seat, just like the one before, was the beauty's. Now that he understood the situation, although he was quite unhappy with these people's attitude, by looking at the expressions of the other students, it seemed they thought him a newcomer who was ignorant of the circumstances and had blundered into someone else's territory, causing them to be hostile. Moreover, class was about to start, and it wouldn't be good to make a scene on the first lesson. With these thoughts, he didn't feel like saying much. Picking up his bag again, he vacated the seat and moved to sit down in an empty row nearby.

The burly man, seeing that Xiao Yi had finally left under his imposing manner, hurriedly walked over, took out a tissue, and vigorously wiped the chair Xiao Yi had sat on before turning around with a smile and said obsequiously to the beauty, "Sister Hua, the fly has been chased away, please have a seat."

The beauty watched quietly as they drove Xiao Yi away, her face as icy as a layer of frost. Hearing the burly man's words, she showed no emotion and simply walked over to a seat by the window and sat down.

From beginning to end, she hadn't said a word, as if the whole incident had nothing to do with her.

After the beauty sat down, the burly man and the other three boys turned to find their own seats. To keep an eye on the beauty and to ingratiate themselves with her, their seats were all nearby.

But as soon as they turned their heads, they were immediately taken aback. Xiao Yi was sitting upright in the seat that belonged to Young Master Gao, who was tall and handsome.

As soon as Young Master Gao saw Xiao Yi in his seat, his expression instantly darkened.

The burly man was furious. He hadn't expected this kid to be so troublesome. Just chased from that side, and now sitting in their boss's seat without a second thought, he reached out to grab Xiao Yi's collar while saying angrily, "Kid, are you looking to die?"

"Let's talk this out politely, it'd be best not to get physical."

Xiao Yi raised an eyebrow and lightly pushed, causing the burly man to stumble and fall towards Young Master Gao.

What a joke, his collar couldn't withstand that guy's tugging—a tug would definitely tear it. His clothes cost over a hundred bucks a piece; he planned to wear them for a few more years.

"You... kid, you've got guts, actually daring to lay hands on us. Do you know who we are!"

Seeing Xiao Yi daring to push the burly man, another boy, tall and thin with a somewhat sullen face, was slightly startled and then sneered coldly.

"I don't know, nor am I interested in finding out. However, the one who started getting physical wasn't me, it was him."

Xiao Yi said indifferently.

"Damn it, who let you sit in Young Master Gao's seat!"

The burly man, steadied by Young Master Gao, had regained his composure. He hadn't expected Xiao Yi to make a move, and had been unprepared when Xiao Yi deflected his force, causing him to stagger. Feeling utterly embarrassed, he became even angrier after hearing Xiao Yi's words.

"This seat, is it yours?"

Xiao Yi raised his eyes and looked towards the apparent leader among the four boys, a tall and handsome young man.

"Indeed, this seat, I always sit in it."

A shadow of displeasure flitted across the eyes of the tall and handsome boy as he nodded his head.

"Oh, so those other seats next to it must belong to your friends?"

Xiao Yi pointed to the three empty seats beside him.

"Exactly, we four have always sat here."

The tall and handsome boy nodded again.

"Oh, I see."

Xiao Yi nodded, cast a glance at the others, said no more, stood up, picked up his cloth bag, and walked towards a corner on the other side, where he saw an available seat—the last one in the entire classroom.

Watching Xiao Yi obediently leave his seat with a dejected air, the tall and handsome boy breathed a sigh of relief. Although if Xiao Yi had refused to move, he could have made him leave, but since they were in a classroom, any disturbance could lead to serious consequences. So it was best to avoid violence in the classroom, which was why he had been willing to speak cordially with Xiao Yi in the first place.

The other few boys, however, let a sneer creep into their eyes. They all thought that Xiao Yi, despite his seemingly confident talk, was actually afraid of them. All his words were just for show, an act of preserving face.

The students surrounding them looked at Xiao Yi's face with sneers and some disappointment. Initially, they thought Xiao Yi, who had unhesitatingly pushed the burly boy and spoke without a change in expression, might be a strong newcomer who could rival the tall and handsome local boss, but it turned out he wasn't a new dragon in town, but rather a mere common lizard.

However, they soon came to terms with it. Judging by Xiao Yi's attire, he didn't look at all like a newcomer who could stir things up. He was obviously just an earthy snake.

They guessed he was probably from a nearby major, who had heard of the beauty of their class's 'flower,' Zhao Yuhua, and came to have a look. Unfortunately, he didn't know the situation and had run headlong into trouble.

The beautiful girl sitting by the window watched as Xiao Yi gave up his seat and walked to the other side, and a scornful and disdainful smile appeared on her stunningly beautiful, yet icy face, revealing a rare hint of emotion. But that sneer was fleeting and soon vanished as her face returned to its usual cold indifference.

"Damn, who's the bumpkin trying to act all high and mighty here?"

The burly boy, still holding a grudge from being pushed by Xiao Yi, looked at Xiao Yi's retreating figure and cursed bitterly.

"Forget it, class is about to start, get ready."

The tall and handsome boy said nonchalantly, reaching out to grab a piece of tissue paper to wipe the seat Xiao Yi had been sitting in.

"Young Master Gao, let me do it, let me."

His followers wouldn't allow him to wipe down the chair and desk himself. As soon as they saw him take out a tissue, they quickly snatched it and began to vigorously wipe it down.

The tall and handsome boy said nothing, letting his subordinates do the wiping, and only after it was done did he sit down.
