The city gate opened, and a soldier sluggishly walked out. He glanced up at Gao Fei and the others, saying indifferently, "Come on in."
"Why did you make us wait so long!" Chen San glared and asked.
"Long?" The soldier curled his lips. "I think it was quite fast."
"You..." Chen San was about to speak when he was interrupted by the soldier.
"Just be content," the soldier said coolly. "Today our lord is in a good mood, letting you enter the city before nightfall. On other days, he'd have you wait outside all night long."
"What kind of attitude is this!" Chen San charged forward, intent on giving the soldier a thrashing.
"Don't be reckless," Gao Fei stopped the angry Chen San. "Stand aside, let me ask him."
"My lord..."
"Go stand aside!"
"This is so infuriating! What the hell!" Chen San walked off to the side, grumbling and cursing under his breath, "A mere soldier dares to be so arrogant; he must be sick of living."
