Chapter 10 - approved

Zeki thanks and heads back to the apartment with the guild letter, quickly determined. Upon entering the apartment, he sits on the sofa, exhausted but curious about the content of the letter.

**Mother (curious):** Zeki, are you going to open the letter now?

**Zeki (thoughtful):** I will, Mom. I want to see if I was accepted into the guild.

Zeki takes the letter and carefully tears open the envelope. He pulls out the contents and starts reading aloud.

**Zeki (surprised):** "Zeki, congratulations! You have been accepted into the guild, and based on your performance in the test, your new rank is Class D, Rank 2."

**Mother (proud):** Class D, Rank 2! That's great, son! Congratulations!

**Zeki (a bit disappointed):** Thanks, Mom. I was expecting a bit more, but if this is my rank, there's nothing I can do. It won't be long before I move up to Class B.

**Dona Vera (encouraging):** And you will. Just don't get too full of yourself to avoid any trouble with your dad.

**Zeki (calm):** Okay.

**Mother (smiling):** Alright, dinner's ready.

**Zeki:** I'll be there in a minute, Mom.

After dinner, Zeki heads to his room and grabs his notebook. He sits back on the sofa, turns on the device, and accesses the Titan Guild website. The screen displays detailed information about members and rankings.

**Zeki (focused):** Let's see how many hunters we have in the guild now...

On the Titan Guild website, Zeki finds the updated statistics and starts reading:

**Number of hunters by class:**

- **Class Z/Global:** None

- **Class S:** 7

- **Class A:** 98

- **Class B:** 197

- **Class C:** 380

- **Class D:** 360

- **Class G:** 509

- **Class E:** 700

**Zeki (thoughtful):** So, this guild is quite large. Class D isn't the worst place to start, but there's still a long way to go to reach Class B, as I wanted.

Zeki closes the notebook and leans back on the sofa, thinking about how he will plan his training to rank up. He is determined to improve his skills and advance within the Titan Guild.

**Zeki (determined):** I won't worry; soon enough, I'll be in Class B.

He gets up from the sofa and puts the notebook back on the table, preparing to rest and get ready for bed.

**Next Morning**

Zeki wakes up early and heads to the kitchen for breakfast. Dona Vera is already preparing something simple, and his father, who came home early from work, is sitting at the table.

**Mother (setting the table):** Good morning, Zeki! I've prepared breakfast. Are you going to eat something?

**Zeki (sitting at the table):** I'm not sure.

**Father (looking at Zeki):** So, son, how was your first day at the guild?

**Zeki (calm):** It was good. I received a letter last night, and I saw a notification on my phone, so now I'm going to the guild for a meeting with the directors. They'll give me more details about what's coming up.

**Father (serious and interested):** I see. Well, stay alert and do your best. The directors won't be easy.

**Zeki (normal):** I'll try. Thanks for the support.

**Titan Guild Office**

Upon arriving at the guild, Zeki is greeted by three directors: Director Harlan, Director Mark, and Director Elena. They are known for their strictness and seriousness.

**Director Harlan (starting the meeting):** Zeki, welcome. We'll review your performance and discuss your future in the guild.

**Director Mark (examining the report):** So, Zeki, according to the report, you performed excellently on the intelligence test but not enough to reach Class B. Your current rank is Class D, Rank 2.

**Director Elena (looking at Zeki with a surprised expression):** Impressive. You ranked first in the intelligence test, which is quite remarkable, especially for someone new like you.

**Zeki (calm):** Thank you for the compliment.

**Director Mark (surprised):** For a young person, your performance was high. Normally, young people at your age don't show this level of skill.

**Director Harlan (commenting on the salary):** Your starting salary will be 4,200 reais. This amount should be enough to cover your basic needs and still allow for a comfortable life.

**Director Elena (encouraging but serious):** You made a great choice joining our guild, Zeki. Keep striving, and over time, you'll have the opportunity to advance to a higher class. We're looking forward to it, but we still need to ask you a few questions. Is that okay with you?

**Zeki (serious):** Sure, go ahead.

After the questions, Zeki leaves.

**Titan Guild Hallways**

After Zeki's meeting, the directors gather in a private conference room. They discuss Zeki's performance and situation.

**Director Harlan (objective):** Zeki has potential, especially with his strong performance in the intelligence test. However, he didn't excel in the physical tests. This is a problem, considering that most hunter challenges require strong practical skills.

**Director Mark (pragmatic):** I agree. He did well in the intelligence test but didn't demonstrate the same competence in physical tests. To advance in the hierarchy, he will need to improve significantly in this area.

**Director Elena (critical):** The reality is that he's in Class D for a reason. The physical test was a weak point. He'll need to work much harder to avoid getting stuck here.

**Back at the Apartment**

When Zeki returns home, he finds his mother and father in the kitchen.

**Dona Vera (worried):** How was the meeting, Zeki?

**Zeki (calm):** The meeting was informative. They were surprised by my age and my performance on the intelligence test. My rank is Class D, Rank 2, and the starting salary is 4,200 coins.

**Father (serious but interested):** It's a good start. Their surprise at your age shows your performance was above average. Now, it's important to keep working hard.

**Dona Vera (encouraging):** We're proud of you. Stay focused and keep dedicating yourself.

**Father:** Exactly. The important thing is not to get complacent and keep moving forward.

Zeki nods in agreement, absorbing his parents' support and advice as he prepares for the next challenge.
