I wake to the soft breeze brushing against my face. The sun is up high in the sky and starts to burn my eyes. I look around and notice that, somehow, I am alive.
An equally shocking fact is that my hands that were once torn are now pristine with no calluses. 'Am I in heaven?' I ask myself but quickly dismiss that thought due to the pang of hunger I feel.
I look down at my legs to see torn clothes but no gashes or cuts. I also notice that my torso does not have the two large spikes that were previously lodged in it.
Still dazed I look around and see that I am in the middle of a giant crater that is at least 10 miles wide. I try to look back at my memories but that only thing that I remember is the strange message and almost dying.
I sigh at the realization that most everyone I know is probably dead. At least those monsters should be dead as well. I hate those freaky creatures. They come in all different shapes and sizes but they are all scary as hell.
After sitting around for 30 minutes I realized that I was all alone. There was literally no one around and I was starting to get hungry. There was nothing left in this desolate crater so I decided to trudge up to the top and see what was out there.
After an hour of walking I finally got to the top and saw a whole bunch of ... nothing.
Well shit.
I didn't know what to do. I have been in much worse situations and apparently even almost died but this is the first time I have been completely stumped. If this was the same battlefield I knew there was no civilization for the next 100 miles.
To make matters worse I did not see the army I belonged to. Whether they were wiped out or not I don't know and for some reason I do not really care. It is not that I am heartless. I used to care a little bit about them but for some reason right now I do not really care about their fates.
Anyways it seems like at least they disappeared in a hurry as there were still some supplies left. I trudged down to the abandoned encampment and scavenged some good ol moldy bread and questionable meat.
As I took a bite I retched and threw up all over the ground. It tasted horrible. I mean I know that it's going to taste bad but after 5 years of eating it I had gotten used to the horrific taste. This however was on a different level of bad.
Suddenly this meal that I have eaten so often tasted horrible. I could not figure out why this was but I could not dwell on it. Night time was coming and I did not want to be out in the open like this. There could still be monsters left or maybe there would be bandits coming to scavenge the loot if they were brave enough. Either way I, Leo, am not risking that.
Luckily now that I have regained my senses I know where I can go. First I will go to the nearest town and try to gather some information from there then I will make my plan based off of that.
Coming to that conclusion I set off following the dirt resupply road through the grassy plains. It was boring and I was running low on energy. I could not eat the food at the camp for some reason and the nearest town was still 90 miles away.

After 10 more hours of waking the sky was completely dark and I was starting to get desperate. This hunger building inside of me was worrying. I felt not just pain in my stomach but for some weird reason I also felt the overwhelming pressure of lust.
I could not suppress this feeling, actually it just got stronger as time went on. I continued to stumble my way down the dirt road and into a forest. I needed a place to rest and this would be the best place for a while.
As I trudged through the forest my vision began to narrow as I felt myself slowly losing consciousness. There was no way to suppress my hunger, thirst, and lust that was running through my body anymore.
I tripped and fell over a branch and into some bushes but was able to slowly pick myself up again. At this point I did not even know where I was going. I needed to stop but if I do that I will pass out and might not wake up ever again.
This fear as well as my ever increasing lust and hunger kept me going for the next few minutes. Finally, after what seemed like forever I saw a light in the forest. I did not know who was there or whether they were good or bad but I knew I had to take my chance.
I pushed through using the last of my energy. The only thing guiding me was the one speck of light still lingering in my vision.
As I approached the light I heard what sounded like a distorted voice calling out to me. I could not decipher what the figure was saying but I did not care. I tried to follow the voice as best I could before I tripped and fell down.
I did not hit the cold hard group as I expected but something softer. This comfort, the first I had felt in so long was my last straw as I passed out, completely entrusting my self to whoever I heard.

Alternate POV
"Hello? Hello? Are you alright?" I looked down at the man that fell in my lap. "Who are you?" I murmur to myself as I notice the man is asleep or passed out.
It was scary when I heard the rustling of the bushed and saw a man come out towards me. I thought he was a bandit or some criminal, but instead I saw the most beautiful men I had ever seen in my life.
I called out to him and he stumbled towards me. He tripped on a branch and fell directly on my lap.
I looked down on this man who looked no older than 20 years old. "oh dear, what have I gotten myself into?"
