Aiden stepped into the arena, his eyes scanning the massive space before locking onto Vladimir, who stood on the opposite side. For a brief moment, Aiden allowed a look of shock to flicker across his face, feigning surprise. The illusion was set in place, and he knew exactly how to play his role.
As soon as the crowds of holographic spectators noticed Vladimir, the arena erupted in chatter, their voices blending into an excited hum.
"They really want this kid dead, don't they?" one figure remarked, sounding almost amused.
"I've been watching these fights for years, but never have I seen someone fight every day like this," another chimed in. "And never a novice against a proficient apprentice."
"It's outrageous, but I love it!" a third voice joined in, laughter rumbling through the arena.
