Chapter 1 - The veil warrior

"Zane... ZANE!"

Zane blinked, shaking his head. "What? Oh, hey, Jace."

"Hey? Seriously? Do you even know where we are?" his voice bouncing off the empty walls.

Zane looked around. "Uh... we're at the museum, right?"

Zane sighed, exasperated. "Not a museum. This museum. Doesn't it feel… off? Like time's stopped? It's so dark and hollow, like nothing belongs here."

Jace shrugged, brushing off Zane unease. "Relax. Zane ?" He stepping closer where a faint blue light pulsed like a heartbeat.

Zane eyes widened. "Jace, don't even think about it."

But Zane, ever the reckless one, leaned forward, to the glowing stone . "It's just a rock," he said, his fingers hovering over it.

"Don't touch it!" Jace hissed, panic rising in his voice. "It's been sealed for centuries. Who knows what kind of—"

Too late. Zane's fingers brushed the stone.

A CRACK echoed through the hall as the room filled with blinding blue light. The floor beneath them rumbled, and a deep, resonant voice echoed, shaking the walls:

"The chosen warrior has arrived..."

revealing glowing runes now scattered across the walls. Four other pedestals began to glow in unison, each holding a similar stone—red, green, yellow, and white.

The voice returned, colder this time:

"Fine the remaining stones to awaken the Vail Armor. The adventure begins."

Jace stumbled back, eyes wide. "What... what did you just do?"

Zane turned, his grin unwavering despite the chaos. "Looks like I kicked off something fun."

Jace groaned. "Fun? This isn't fun! It's a death sentence!"

Zane stretched his arms, the faint blue glow from the stone now pulsing faintly beneath his skin. "Guess we'll find out. Let's go find those stones."

The museum groaned, as if alive, the walls shifting to reveal a dark corridor leading deeper into its depths.

"The beginning, huh?" Zane said, stepping forward.

Jace sighed, reluctanly following. "This better not kill us..."
