Lara quietly had breakfast next to Lucas, who held a newspaper in one hand and ate with the other. Their honeymoon had ended two days ago, and today Lucas was returning to work.
They enjoyed their breakfast in comfortable silence, with occasional snippets of conversation. The domestic staff had started working the day they returned, and now they were fully on duty.
Once Lucas finished, he wiped his hands and got up. He walked over to Lara and quickly pecked her lips before leaving for work.
