Seeing the other sect members and even some of my own leave disappointed after I subtly misled them gave me a sense of relief. No need for force or revealing the presence of the pagoda's treasure, which, if exposed, would have powerhouses from the Sky Above Realm descending on us. I had steered them away without risk.
