Chapter 33 - Chapter 33: Everything You Made Up

After discussing with Wen Yaxian's mother, Xiao Fan knew what to say to Wen Yaxian.

The door opened, and her mother called Wen Yaxian into the room, saying Xiao Fan had something to tell her.

Puzzled, Wen Yaxian silently entered the room.

Her father wanted to follow, but her mother shut the door, blocking him outside.

Inside, seeing Xiao Fan sitting upright by the bed, Wen Yaxian spoke first. "Still leaving?"

"I'm not leaving," Xiao Fan shook his head. "In my current state, I can't go anywhere."

Wen Yaxian was surprised by his quick response. She looked at her mother, wondering what had been said to make Xiao Fan change his mind so quickly.

But before she could be happy, Xiao Fan's next words brought her back to despair.

"Miss Wen, do you still want to be my disciple as you mentioned before?"

"What?" Wen Yaxian was stunned.

She had indeed mentioned wanting Xiao Fan to be her master days ago. At that time, her feelings for him were vague, driven by a desire to learn more medical knowledge from him.

But now, understanding her true feelings for Xiao Fan, becoming his disciple meant forever interacting with him as master and apprentice.

"What if I do? What if I don't?" Wen Yaxian asked, frowning and staring at Xiao Fan.

Sighing, Xiao Fan said, "If you do, I'll accept you as my disciple and teach you everything I know. If not, we have no ties, and I have no reason to stay."

Wen Yaxian shifted her gaze to her mother, who avoided her eyes, confirming everything.

If Xiao Fan couldn't see her feelings, she might believe it. But if her mother couldn't see them, she couldn't believe it.

Though she didn't know what her mother had told Xiao Fan, it clearly related to his current stance.

Whether it was her mother's idea or Xiao Fan's, she didn't know. She only knew that from now on, she would have to address him as her master.

"Fine, I'll be your disciple!"

Wen Yaxian knelt before Xiao Fan, her emotions mixed with defiance.

Seeing her expressionless face, her mother sighed, knowing her daughter was hurting.

But short-term pain was better than lifelong suffering.

Her mother stepped forward and said, "Bow to your master. From now on, treat him with the same respect as your parents."

"Do you understand?" her mother asked seriously.

Wen Yaxian gritted her teeth, hearing her mother's message to abandon any romantic hopes for Xiao Fan.

Looking at Xiao Fan's calm face, she realized he had no such feelings for her.

Feeling despondent, she bowed respectfully, "Disciple greets Master!"

Xiao Fan's expression remained unchanged, but he felt the same pain inside. For Wen Yaxian's future, he had to endure the sorrow.

Outside the Haotian Mirror.

"So this is how the Taiyin Empress became the Underworld Demon Emperor's disciple."

"Who would have thought the Underworld Demon Emperor had a tender side?"

"Seems he had genuine feelings for her."

"Too bad, people change. In the face of greater temptation, so-called true feelings often crumble."

Cultivators sighed, discussing the scene.

In the Imperial City, the Northern Nether Empress, Leng Ruoxue, clenched her fists, feeling jealous.

Xiao Fan had always treated her as a disciple, but he had genuine feelings for the Taiyin Empress, Wen Yaxian.

This realization stung.

In the sky, the Taiyin Empress, Wen Yaxian, watched the scene with tears streaming down her beautiful face.

She finally understood what her mother and Xiao Fan had discussed back then.

She had always thought Xiao Fan had no romantic feelings for her, accepting her as a disciple to curb her feelings.

But seeing Xiao Fan's hesitation, conflict, and pain showed he had feelings for her, at least once.

"Why? Why?" Wen Yaxian cried, asking herself.

Despite their master-disciple relationship, she had fallen deeper in love with Xiao Fan. She tried every means to cure his poison, while he taught her all he knew.

Those days were the happiest of her life.

Until Xiao Fan decided to teach her cultivation for self-protection and village defense.

Everything changed then.

She awakened her Taiyin Physique.

Recalling this, Wen Yaxian looked at the now lifeless Xiao Fan in the Imperial City, furious and emotional.

"Why? Why? Was the Taiyin Physique so alluring that you would fall into the demonic path for it?"

She couldn't understand why Xiao Fan changed so drastically, killing her entire village of 175 people.

Even if the Taiyin Physique's energy could heal his poison and boost cultivation, she would have given her life for him if he had asked.

But Xiao Fan chose the cruelest way.

Everyone felt her anger and questioned Xiao Fan's later actions.

The Taiyin Physique's energy was indeed powerful for healing and cultivation, but the Taiyin Empress had feelings for Xiao Fan. He could have chosen a better way.

The cultivators couldn't understand his extreme choice.

The Northern Nether Empress, Leng Ruoxue, angrily retorted, "I don't believe my master did those things. Maybe you made it all up!"

Despite losing her cultivation, she maintained her imposing presence. After learning the truth, she now trusted Xiao Fan implicitly.

She believed there was more to the rumors about Xiao Fan.

"You think I made it up?" Wen Yaxian laughed bitterly.

The accusation hurt deeply, as if her entire village had committed suicide.

Infuriated, she wanted to kill the Northern Nether Empress immediately.

Just then, a ripple in the void appeared.

A fiery figure emerged, raising the temperature around them.

"True or not, keep watching and find out!" the fiery woman snapped.
