Realizing that my attack was never going to hit Saya due to the overwhelming flow of magic she was releasing, I immediately went down to check on the lower floors.
By that time, Saya's magical energy had already engulfed the entirety of the final floor. In the blink of an eye, the ceiling, the distant walls, and every inch of the surrounding space had been filled with a magic circle. What the hell is she trying to do?! I wanted to stop her, but now that she had already activated her attack, there was nothing I could do.
"Saya! Stop acting on your own!" Hazumi called out desperately.
Of course, Hazumi couldn't see Saya. She must have sensed her magic. But at this point, it didn't matter what we said; the spell was already activated.
A terrible feeling washed over me, and that awful feeling soon became a reality in a way I hadn't expected.
