...
"Brat!"
Gon's declaration enraged Genthru, who lashed out with a furious palm strike.
But Gon, having undergone rigorous training, effortlessly tilted his head, dodging the attack.
He then retaliated with a swift punch aimed at Genthru's head.
BAM!
Caught off guard, Genthru was the first to be struck in their exchange.
Gon's powerful punch connected squarely with his face, sending him flying backward, tumbling uncontrollably.
"!!!"
Seeing their leader struck down by a mere child, Sub and Bara rushed towards Genthru.
However, a flash of lightning intercepted them.
"Hold it right there! No trespassing!"
"What?!"
Sub and Bara stared in astonishment at Killua, enveloped in crackling electricity, resembling a Super Saiyan.
"He transformed his aura into lightning?! Is that even possible?!"
Killua's transformation was beyond their comprehension.
They had never seen, nor even heard of, such a technique.
But their disbelief couldn't deter Killua's resolve.
He extended his hand, shaping it into a blade.
Blue lightning crackled around his hand, extending outwards to form a blade of pure energy, its sharp edge glinting menacingly.
Killua grinned, admiring the lightning blade in his hand.
"Now, it's time to test the 'Thunder Breathing' technique!"
He looked at the stunned Sub and Bara, his eyes gleaming with anticipation.
"I'll play with you guys for a while," he declared.
"Until the other fight is over."
...
"Damn it!"
Deep within the forest, Genthru, still reeling from Gon's earlier attack, struggled to defend against the relentless onslaught.
The reality was far different from what he had anticipated.
Gon was his equal, perhaps even slightly stronger.
"What's going on?"
"This wasn't the case a month and a half ago!" Genthru screamed internally, his frustration mounting.
Meanwhile, Gon, his mind calm and focused, observed Genthru's movements, searching for an opening.
Unlike Killua, who had undergone rigorous assassination training from a young age, Gon had never received formal combat instruction.
Despite his exceptional physical talent, he tended to rely on instinct and brute force, his potential largely untapped.
Therefore, compared to Killua, who already possessed a solid foundation in combat, Gon's progress during their training was even more remarkable.
Since Gon wasn't particularly adept at theoretical learning, his training primarily consisted of practical combat experience.
If his mind couldn't grasp the concepts, his body would learn them through repetition, etching them into his instincts.
Under Gabriel's meticulous guidance, Gon had honed his ability to identify and exploit his opponents' weaknesses.
His refined martial arts skills allowed him to channel his full strength into combat, significantly amplifying his power.
"Left arm, right leg, chest..."
Gon's gaze was fixed on Genthru, meticulously analyzing his movements, searching for an opening.
Through countless battles during their training, Gon had mastered the art of Nen manipulation.
He effortlessly pressured Genthru while maintaining a solid defense, leaving his opponent exhausted and frustrated.
Of course, Gon's ability to dominate Genthru stemmed not only from his improved strength but also from Genthru's exposed Nen ability.
When Genthru had eliminated the members of his former card-collecting group, a Nen exorcist had managed to escape.
This exorcist had revealed the details of Genthru's ability to Gon, hoping he would expose Genthru and prevent further casualties.
Therefore, Gon was fully aware of Genthru's Nen ability.
After Gon shared this information with Gabriel, she had deduced Genthru's fighting style.
Furthermore, during their training, Airmid had frequently emulated Genthru's combat techniques when sparring with Gon.
As a result, Gon was intimately familiar with Genthru's strengths and weaknesses.
Now, facing the real Genthru, he felt as comfortable as a fish in water.
"Damn it!"
"Damn it!"
"Damn it all!"
Genthru was completely outmatched, constantly on the defensive.
Gon, anticipating his every move, was like a slippery eel, impossible to grasp.
And without physical contact, Genthru's Nen ability was useless.
This put him at a severe disadvantage.
It was a crucial lesson for all Nen users: never allow your abilities to be fully understood by your opponent.
Once a Nen user's abilities were exposed, they became vulnerable unless they possessed overwhelming strength.
For example, the future Chimera Ant King.
Even knowing his Nen ability wouldn't make a difference.
His true terror lay in his unimaginable physical strength, enhanced by Nen.
"No, I can't let this continue!"
Facing the elusive Gon, Genthru's resolve began to waver.
He didn't need to continue this fight.
Not only was he unsure of victory, but he couldn't afford to kill Gon.
Mika, watching with a knowing smile from afar, was a threat he couldn't ignore.
"Unlike those of us who will stop at nothing to conquer the game, he plays for enjoyment. Therefore, his collection of spell cards is definitely inferior to mine."
"Moreover, in preparation for hunting Razor, I've acquired numerous movement-type spell cards recently."
"If I want to escape, they'll never catch me!"
Making up his mind, Genthru quickly pulled out his binder and retrieved the "Accompany" spell card.
This card allowed the user to teleport to a designated location.
"Sub, Bara, retreat immediately!"
"We'll split up for now and regroup later, upon my signal."
After shouting his orders, Genthru raised the card and yelled, "Accompany! Antokiba!"
"..."
"What's going on?"
Genthru stared at the inactive card in disbelief. "What happened?"
He had used the card correctly, but nothing happened.
He wasn't teleporting.
"Genthru!"
While Genthru was distracted, Gon, who had been relentlessly pursuing him, closed the distance.
With a roar, he unleashed a powerful punch to Genthru's abdomen.
The impact sent Genthru flying backward once more.ย

"It seems the outcome is already decided," Mika commented with a smile, perched atop a large boulder as he observed the distant battle between Gon and Genthru.
"That's only because Gon has the advantage of intel, and because the opponent gave him an opening," Airmid countered seriously.
"It's all thanks to Gabriel," Mellie added.
"Indeed, it's all due to the barrier I erected," Gabriel declared, puffing out her chest with pride.
The battlefield and its surrounding area were now enveloped within a barrier she had created.
This barrier's purpose was to suppress Spells.
It was a technique Gabriel developed.
Greed Island was permeated with these special characters, a component of the Nen system.
With them, even Nen users with average abilities could utilize powerful techniques like teleportation.
They could amplify or suppress the effects of Nen abilities.
The various spell cards in the Greed Island game were each a unique Nen ability.
There were over a hundred different types of these abilities.
This was far beyond the capacity of a few Nen users to manage and maintain, even if they were incredibly powerful.
As long as they were human, such a feat was impossible.
They could effectively disable the spell cards within that zone.
This was the barrier Mika had specifically requested Gabriel to develop.
Its purpose was to prevent Genthru and his companions from escaping.
After all, with their vast collection of spell cards, it would be nearly impossible for Mika and his group to catch them if they decided to flee.
Therefore, Mika chose to disable their spell cards altogether.
"This is what happens when you're outmatched in every aspect," Killua remarked with a smirk, strolling over with his hands behind his head. "Genthru probably never imagined that his attempt to escape using a spell card would be his undoing."
"Yo, you're done already, Killua?"
"Of course. They were just small fry. It was child's play," Killua replied nonchalantly, spreading his hands with a shrug.
Mika chuckled, unsurprised by Killua's swift victory.
After all, he had complete faith in Killua's abilities.
As a prodigy trained from birth in the art of assassination, once Killua mastered Nen, ordinary Nen users were no match for him.
Even Genthru would be easy prey.
However, Gon was the one who wanted to fight Genthru.
"So, how did your ability test go?" Mellie inquired with a smile.
As Killua's mentor during their training, she was deeply invested in his progress.
"It went well. The martial arts Yahweh-sama taught me are very effective."
Killua clenched his fist, recalling the exhilarating feeling of his earlier battle.
"That power is captivating!"
"I'm glad you like it. However, your abilities still need further development," Mika said. "Although Mellie and I have provided you with several training paths, ultimately, it's up to you to decide which direction to take."
"After all, it's your Nen ability."
"I understand!" Killua nodded seriously, acknowledging Mika's advice.
He knew that Mika and his companions would be leaving this world soon.
From then on, they would have to rely on themselves to grow stronger.
"Good."
Mika nodded in satisfaction and turned his gaze back towards Gon in the distance.
"Oh, it looks like Gon is about to finish things."
Hearing Mika's words, the others turned their attention to Gon.
...
"Rock, Paper, Scissors!"
After sending Genthru flying with a powerful punch, Gon stood still, gathering his aura.
"Rock, Paper, Scissors" was the name of Gon's Nen ability, a game of chance.
Each option represented a different Nen category.
"Rock" corresponded to Gon's strongest category, Enhancement.
"Scissors" represented Transmutation, which bordered Enhancement.
"Paper" represented Emission, which also bordered Enhancement.
Based on the principle of adjacent categories, besides Enhancement, the easiest categories for Gon to master were Emission and Transmutation, with an eighty percent success rate for both.
"Rock" was a simple yet powerful enhanced punch.
"Scissors" transformed his aura into sharp blades.
"Paper" unleashed a concentrated blast of Nen energy.
Mika hadn't interfered with the development of Gon's Nen ability.
In a sense, it was the perfect ability for him, requiring no modifications.
However, after teaching Gon martial arts, Gabriel had devised specialized training to enhance his Nen abilities.
Like now.
After a brief pause, Gon started running again.
As he ran, the aura around his fist intensified, causing his arm to glow brighter.
Casting while moving. This was the technique Gabriel had taught him.
However, he hadn't fully mastered it yet and required a brief moment to prepare, hence the initial pause.
Gon quickly caught up to the airborne Genthru.
Looking at the stunned Genthru, Gon showed no mercy and swung his glowing fist with a powerful shout.
"Rock!"
The next moment, his enhanced fist collided with Genthru's body, producing a resounding crash that echoed through the forest.
...
"Excellent, excellent. With this, our card collection is complete."
Using Mellie's illusion magic, they manipulated the unconscious Genthru, Sub, and Bara to retrieve their cards and transfer them to Mika's binder.
Finally, Mika had collected all ninety-nine cards, from 001 to 099.
Only the final card, number 000, remained.
"According to the information we have, once we collect all ninety-nine cards, we should receive information about card 000," Mellie said, examining the binder. "I wonder what kind of information it will be?"
As if on cue, a voice emanated from the binder.
"Attention, players! A player has just collected all ninety-nine designated pocket cards."
"To commemorate this historic moment, a quiz tournament open to all players on Greed Island will be held in ten minutes."
"There will be one hundred questions, all related to the designated pocket cards. The player with the highest score will be awarded designated pocket card 000, 'Ruler's Blessing.'"
"Please keep your binders open and wait a moment!"
"Look, the final card game has arrived," Mika said with a grin.
