Like always, for the past few weeks, i awoke in Adonis's embrace, his arms wrapped so tightly around me like I was a fugitive planning to escape. I didn't mind. Matter of fact, I loved it. It was so comfortable. I nestled closer to him and his arms tightened around my waist, his face digging further into the crook of my neck.
A small laugh escaped me when he pulled me closer, rolling us both over towards the other side of the bed.
"Not close enough" He mumbled, his voice gruff and hoarse with sleep. I ran my hands through his hair and I could feel him falling back into sleep again.
But then, the soft rustle of tiny feet outside the room caught my attention. Lucia was awake, probably hungry, and I knew I couldn't stay nestled in this comfort forever. I pushed at his arms but he refused to budge, his grip was steel.
