The first thing I noticed and the first thing I could feel when i awoke was the incessant throbbing and ringing in my head, like a constant reminder of my cowardice and what I had to achieve today. I sat upright, using both hands to rub my face, attempting to reconstruct the hazy memories of the previous evening. The only thing I could remember was chugging down bottles of alcohol and getting scolded by Sandro. I couldn't remember his words perfectly, but one clause stuck to the back of my mind:
"Fight for her."
I knew I had to fix this. Today. There was no more waiting, no more hiding behind the weight of my own indecision. I needed to tell her. Everything. I would rather she gave up on me than let her hate me.
