Sweat dripped from my shoulders as i moved light on my feet, swerving to the side to dodge his fist. His arm flew close to my ear and i used that as an open window to land a well articulated punch to his ribs. He coughed out in pain, his back facing me as he crashed into the ring.
"Come on" The coach yelled, pushing through the ropes to slap him on his back in encouragement. The blood rushing through my veins pulsed at an alarming rate, pushing my body to its limits, it was exhilarating and it kept my mind off the darkness that i kept at bay.
From the corner of my eyes, i could see Sandro at the far end of the room with his arms crossed, a distasteful expression on his face. He hated when i came here.
It had been months since I came here last.
"Come on, Gio" I yelled through my mouth guard, goading him to come at me.
