The blast approached Void and everyone with tremendous speed. Arcane threw Aoi, Cassey, and Zoe away. "Ahh! The tragic death of two lovers dying in each other's arms is so romantic!" Arcane exclaimed, clinging to Void as he was lost in bliss.
"Mfuu… nuu!" Void chanted. His words were unclear, his face buried in Arcane's chest. Despite this, a thick wall of ice formed, protecting his life.
As the dust cleared, Void scolded Arcane while pinching her ears. "How many times have I told you not to try wild stunts?" he said. Before he could continue, he heard, "Ice Prison!" Arcane, Cassey, Aoi, Zoe, and everyone fighting on Void's side were enclosed in blocks of ice.
Ice Prison encases its victims in ice blocks, which continue to freeze, lowering the temperature and slowly draining mana. When the blocks shatter, they leave no blood only a painful, silent demise.
"A failure like you should know his place, Void Middletown!" Lumi sneered, a wicked smile spreading across her face. Her sinister laughter echoed through the area. "Now watch your people die before you, slowly, slowly!"
Void was initially shocked. "What? No way…!" But his worries faded as he realized something. "Oh, I see! Puff—hahaha!" Void began laughing out loud. His evil laughter shook Lumi.
"What is he…? Have you lost your mind, failure?" Lumi demanded arrogantly.
"Have you ever felt like you're truly something? Even when you're on the edge, when you know you're cooked so thoroughly that an unavoidable start shows on your face?" Void said, holding his katana in one hand and walking towards Lumi. His body was battered from head to toe, but his ice-crystal-like eyes glowed with intensity.
"What do you mean? You think you can defeat me? Huh! Keep dreaming, failure!" Lumi charged at him with her ice claws. Her demonic wings allowed her to close the distance swiftly. "Just die already, Void!"
"Frozen Domain Strike!" Void chanted. His lone voice sent chills through Lumi's bones. In the next moment, her best spell was destroyed and deflected effortlessly. Everyone was freed from Ice Prison.
The Frozen Domain Strike utilizes the mana essence from previous attacks, meaning it doesn't consume any of Void's own mana. The only condition is that all mana essence must be within Void's zone. Mana essence is essentially the remains of mana from attacks or spells. Void's moves, like Chillerz, specialize in it. He learned these techniques because he knew he couldn't fight for long, and with his natural mana, he was a literal god until he lost his last drop of mana.

A devastating shockwave spread out, throwing Lumi back. Before she could regain control, Void was in front of her. Lumi removed her demonic ice blade. "Isn't it amazing, for a failure like me to shake a masterpiece? Hahaha!" Void kicked Lumi so hard that she flew, crashing into several houses.
"What happened? Lumi!" Void shouted, rushing to the house where she crashed. Lumi was covered in cuts. "Are you done already? Is this the masterpiece that old hag was searching for?" Void taunted, healing his wounds with mana essence.
Mana count refers to one's capacity or amount of mana. Using mana essence to restore mana is possible but limited. For Void, who can manipulate natural mana, it's like hitting the jackpot. He's a beast who has tasted human blood.
"Shut up! You bitch!" Lumi growled, charging at Void. They clashed blades once more, while Aoi and the others, who barely escaped death, regrouped.
"Void… where is my Void?" Aoi asked.
"When did he become your Void exactly? He's my man!" Zoe yelled.
"Can you stop that already? He's mine!" Cassey bragged.
"Fufu… you fools are still unaware that Master and I were about to die in each other's arms like a true couple, but the goddess of darkness saved us! Ahh!" Arcane got a nosebleed, trying to relive the moment.
At Arcane's declaration, Aoi, Cassey, and Zoe started beating her. "And you! Who told you that you are an idiot?" they said in unison.
Suddenly, Lumi crashed into all four of them. She was breathing heavily, covered in bruises and severely injured, coughing up blood.
"Is she dead?" Aoi asked, her posture radiating concern as she stood with her right arm folded across her chest, her left hand cupping her cheek.
"She's still breathing. I guess she's still alive," Zoe said, dusting off the snow and straightening her battle gear.
"Master!" Arcane screamed, her voice filled with fear. She looked in the direction from which Lumi had come flying. Cassey and the others were stunned when they saw Void being stabbed by a girl in knight's armor, not once or twice but eight times.
"And here I thought everything was fine," Void said, letting out an empty chuckle as blood streamed down his face. "Die peacefully, Mr. Void Middletown. You're no longer needed in this game," the girl said, removing her sword from his body. She was about to behead Void.
That's when Aoi and the others intervened, each clashing with the girl. "How dare you hurt Master!" Arcane growled, entangling the girl in knight's armor and sending her flying to the other side. "It seems my actions have allowed Void to live longer, but I have no interest in letting him stay alive anymore. I'll end him here in this unexpected turn of events." the girl in knight armor in her mind.
Void was on his knees, coughing blood. Lumi, who had been thrown away by the girl in knight armor, saw an opportunity to take down Void. With furious speed, she charged at him. Void was in no state to fight any longer.
"This is my chance, Void! Your end is absolute here!" Lumi declared, inches away from Void. Just as her claws were about to reach his neck, Vivienne grabbed her hand. "You really share many things with that bastard!" Vivienne threw Lumi aside and tried to help Void.
"What the hell is wrong with that knight? If she weren't my senior and superior, I'd have cut her in half by now! How dare she touch my brother!" Vivienne thought, clenching her fist. "Moreover, what are those girls doing? Well, it's alright as long as Void is safe. I'll deal with that knight later!"
"Void, are you alright...?"
"Death! The end we call! What is truly an end? Or is it a new beginning? A new chance? For me, it was a chance to rectify my past life's mistakes and take responsibility for what I abandoned in the last one for my selfish goals. And right now… I can't stop here. I'll finish this game!
