We finished filming Doomsday in late winter and we all converged at the previously booked private room for the wrap up party.
I made my way through the people present and found a slightly secluded spot to sit down. I looked at the celebratory atmosphere and smiled slightly.
Someone handed me a glass of wine and said it was from the director and I took the drink and brought it to my mouth but then stopped halfway. I scanned the room and saw the director who was entangled with various people and was being toasted.
I also took note of Xu Yanfu at the corner who looked at the glass in my hand with expectation and a hint of apprehension.
I pretended to drink and poured it on the floor saying sorry to the cleaners in my heart. After a few moments, I stood up and finally caught the director's eyes. He came over with a glass and raised it in a toast.
"Mr Zhu, thank you for your hard work. It is out blessing to have you on our crew"
