The aroma of freshly ground coffee beans filled the air as Kim rushed into The Daily Grind, her favorite local coffee shop. She was running late for a meeting with a potential client, her portfolio tucked haphazardly under one arm. As she hurried to join the queue, she collided with a tall figure stepping away from the counter.
"Oh, I'm so sorry!" Kim exclaimed, mortified as she realized she'd caused the stranger to spill his coffee.
It's fine," came the curt reply. Kim looked up to see a pair of striking blue eyes regarding her with a mixture of annoyance and... was that amusement?
"Let me buy you another one," Kim offered, feeling guilty.
The stranger hesitated, then nodded. "Alright. I'm Zack, by the way."
As they waited in line together, Kim couldn't help but notice how different Zack seemed from her usual type. His pressed shirt and neatly combed hair contrasted sharply with her own artistic, somewhat disheveled style.
Yet there was something intriguing about him.
Little did they know, this chance encounter would be the beginning of a journey that would change both their lives forever.
