Jasmine's pov
I couldn't believe what Nelson was asking of me. "Father my child? You don't even care if the father and i are on good terms," I complained.
Nelson sighed, his eyes filled with deep longing. "That's why I asked if you are in a relationship, Jasmine. I know this is strange because we just met, but i really want you to be my wife," he said, his voice laced with sincerity.
"I can't do this," I muttered, shaking my head.
"Why? If it's because you are pregnant, I promise to raise the child as mine," he assured me.
"What about your family? What if they find out that our union is fake?" I asked with worry.
"They won't, and I've always liked you, Jasmine. I know we didn't get a chance to explore our feelings in college, but I've never forgotten you," he replied, his voice filled with emotions.
