Until now!
When Meera and Kaveri inquired about Nila from Jenifer Mam, the teacher, she didn't give them a proper answer, causing confusion. Meera agreed to go to that room as per Kaveri's wish.
Now!
After 6 PM in the evening!
After college, when all the students and teachers had gone back to the hostel and their homes, only the two of them stood in front of the mysterious room.
As the door of the room was unusually open at that moment, both of them stood looking at the room.
Then Kaveri asked urgently,
"Meera! Come on, let's go. What are you thinking?"
"I'm trying to figure out how this room got unlocked. It's always locked,"
Meera asked in confusion.
"Yeah, I haven't thought about it. Someone must have opened it knowing that we were coming. Let's go,"
Kaveri urged.
"Don't talk nonsense, Kaveri. If someone finds out that we're here, we're in trouble. Something feels off. Let's go,"
Meera said with slight annoyance.
"Hey! Please don't. It's not good for our family. Just come now. I'll stay here,"
Kaveri insisted.
"Okay, stay if you want. Let's see if anyone else comes,"
Meera said irritably and looked around. Seeing no one, Kaveri dragged her into the open room.
"I'm coming too,"
Meera said loudly as she followed, but Kaveri had already stepped into the room and was staring at a spot.
"What are you looking at?"
Meera asked in confusion.
"Kaveri! Look over there. That's what I was talking about,"
Kaveri said, pointing to a book in a glass case and walked towards it.
"Hey! What are you doing? The room is dangerous! Stop,"
Meera said and ran to catch up with her. When they reached the book, Kaveri was about to touch it when Meera immediately slapped her hand away and said,
"Hey Kaveri! Don't touch that. It says not to touch it. Let's find Nila."
Meera pointed to the inscription under the glass case that read
"Don't touch this."
She moved away to search for Nila, while Kaveri, drawn by the book's allure, began reading its inscription.
"This book says that everyone in this era would want to read it. By reading this book, you can achieve whatever you wish. Moreover, it allows you to enter a magical world. By reading it, you can become the greatest person in this world. That's why this book has been kept hidden out of envy,"
Kaveri read aloud.
"What? Even after all this noise, there's no reaction? Maybe Nila isn't here!"
Meera thought and walked over to Kaveri.
"Hey! What are you still doing here? Nila isn't anywhere in this room. Let's go. We might get into trouble if anyone comes,"
Meera urged, looking nervously towards the door.
"Meera! Look at this. What's written here?"
Kaveri said, turning Meera's face towards the book.
Seeing the inscription, Meera said,
"Hoo! I told you not to touch it. Let's go first. It seems like someone might come. I'll go check."
Hearing the sound of footsteps, Meera anxiously went towards the door. Kaveri, however, was entranced by the words on the book and remained oblivious.
"Meera…! I'm going to touch this book..."
Kaveri said joyfully as she reached out to the book. Meera, startled by the noise, ran towards her.
"No… Don't… Kaveri…"
Meera shouted, running towards her, but Kaveri was already pulled into the book. Meera, shocked, ran to the book, but was enveloped by a black light and heard Kaveri's cry of
"Meera…"
Meera, terrified and sobbing, fell to her knees. Just then, a person who had heard the noise rushed into the room.
Meera, looking around desperately for a way to save Kaveri, noticed a beautiful book floating around in the air, surrounded by flowers, with no visible means of support. The person who entered the room saw a woman sitting inside and approached her.
"Who are you?"
they asked in a concerned tone. Meera, turning to see Jenifer Mam, ran to her and hugged her, crying.
Jenifer Mam, surprised to see Meera, asked,
"Meera! Why are you here? What happened? Why are you crying?"
"Mam! K… K… Kaveri…"
was all Meera could manage to say through her tears.
"Kaveri? What about Kaveri, Meera?"
Jenifer Mam asked, becoming more anxious.
"She… She… She was pulled into that book, Mam,"
Meera cried, pointing to the book.
"What?!"
Jenifer Mam exclaimed in shock.
"Yes, Mam! Kaveri was pulled into the book. Is there any way to save her? How can she come out?"
Meera asked, sobbing.
"No… That… that… she won't come out, Meera. You come, let's leave from here,"
Jenifer Mam said, her voice filled with sorrow.
"What? Mam, you're saying that? No. I won't leave without her. How can we go alone? That's not possible. There must be a way to save her. Please think, Mam,"
Meera pleaded, holding Jenifer's hand.
"Ah, Meera! Don't cry. There is a way, but… but… that way isn't visible to us…"
Jenifer Mam said with frustration.
"Then what is that way? Please tell me, Mam,"
Meera asked eagerly, wiping her tears.
"It's… it's through a book. To save Kaveri trapped in the book, you have to go to heaven. You need to enter the book and find a way to save her from hell,"
Jenifer Mam explained.
"What?! So, Kaveri has gone to hell?"
Meera asked in shock, looking back at the book and then at Jenifer Mam.
"Mam! How can we see that book?"
Meera asked.
"That book will look very beautiful with its cover and flowers. And it will be floating in the air,"
Jenifer Mam said, describing the book.
"Mam! Look at that book,"
Meera said, pointing to the book she had seen earlier.Jenifer Mam looked in the direction Meera indicated and asked,
"There? What's there?"
"There's a book there, right? Don't you see it, Mam?"
Meera asked, confused.
"Do you see it, Meera?"
Jenifer Mam asked in surprise.
"Yes, Mam. So, can we save Kaveri through that book?"
Meera asked eagerly.
"Yes, only you can save her,"
Jenifer Mam said firmly.
"Are there many people trapped in that magical web?"
Meera asked, tearfully.
"Yes, Meera. Meera! Are you going into that book?"
Jenifer Mam asked, placing a hand on her shoulder.
"I will definitely go for Kaveri,"
Meera said resolutely.
"Thank you so much, Meera. Be careful. When you go, don't forget to take that book with you,"
Jenifer Mam said.
"What book, Mam?"
Meera asked in confusion.
"When you go to that book, there will be a small book inside it, in a corner. Take that with you as well,"
Jenifer Mam explained.
"Why, Mam? What's the use of that?"
Meera asked.
"That small book will help you with any information you need about what's happening there. If you write any message on a paper in that notebook and mention the name of the person you want to send it to, it will reach them,"
Jenifer Mam detailed.Hearing this, Meera immediately went to the book, touched it, and prayed,
"God, I'm going into this book with my faith in you. Please help me save my friend Kaveri… and everyone else trapped in the magical world of this book."
Having said this, Meera leaped into the book.Seeing this, Jenifer Mam prayed to the gods,
"Thank you, God! You must be her support"
Meera, having jumped into the book, screamed as she plunged into the darkness, traveling at lightning speed.Hearing a noise, Arunachalam Sir, who had come running from the hostel, saw Jenifer Mam exiting the room in distress.
He approached her and asked,
"What happened, Mam? Why are you so anxious?"
Jenifer Mam, still troubled, recounted everything from Meera and Kaveri entering the room to Meera jumping into the book.
Arunachalam Sir, upon hearing this, said,
"Meera and Kaveri? I never thought our students would end up like this, despite us telling them so many times not to come here. What should we do now?"
"Yes, Sir. But let's believe that what happened today is for the best. If they hadn't come, Meera wouldn't have gone there,"
Jenifer Mam said reassuringly.
"True. Fine. Let's inform the principal about this tomorrow morning, Jenifer"
Arunachalam Sir agreed.
