Each stone has the power to destroy the world, and the one I am guarding is the most special soul stone."
Decades of loneliness made the Red Skull tell this younger generation who was able to communicate with him some more secrets of the universe. When Pierce heard this, he felt his heart beating even faster. He didn't even know that he had such a powerful weapon in his hand, and here was another weapon that was equally powerful. Pierce admitted that he was tempted.
"Mr. Schmidt, such a powerful force is exactly what we Hydra need. I believe that as long as we have the power of these stones, our Hydra organization will truly control the world." Pierce began to try to use the grand blueprint once set by the Red Skull to motivate and deal with the silent heart.

"Come with me." Although the Red Skull became the guardian of the Soul Stone, he did not lose his consciousness. For decades, Red Skull was deeply tormented by the pain of watching the coveted stone right before his eyes day and night but not being able to get it.
Now, the emergence of his successor gave him hope of relief. Rather than living in this state of neither life nor death, he would rather be completely liberated, even if it means real death.

When Pierce heard that the price of going back would be his own soul after death, he actually believed the Red Skull's words a little more.
