Chapter 17 - Chapter 17: The Elragment Spell

The rain fell from the sky, each droplet like a tiny dagger stabbing into Max and Snickers as they moved along the road. Max felt the chill sneak into his bones, with the summer now gone, it was replaced by the biting winds of early autumn. The path was difficult to walk on; wet leaves and thick mud combined to create a slippery surface that made every step a potential disaster. Max slipped repeatedly, each stumble making him curse even more.

The wind whipped through the trees, lashing at Max with icy whips that made him shiver uncontrollably. He tried to warm himself by rubbing his arms and hopping in place, but it didn't work at all. His clothes were soaked through, stuck to his skin like super glue, and they offered no protection against the cold. He thought about a warm inn, a roaring fire, and a hot meal, but such comforts were far from his reach.

Worst of all, Max and Snickers were not on speaking terms. Their friendship had dissolved into bitter silence, the cold weather copied the coldness between them. Snickers walked ahead, his small frame covered with a robe against the rain and cold, but he gave no indication that he cared about Max behind there. It had all started ten hours ago.

Max sat under the tall branches next to the campfire, the warm glow providing a small comfort against the cold autumn weather. He carefully unrolled one of the spell scrolls he had taken from the mayor's office a couple of days ago. The paper crackled softly, revealing unknown runes and ancient script. Max's eyes scanned the text, trying to decipher the purpose of the spell. It was marked with a small level requirement- level 10- and Max, being level 15, should have had no trouble using it. However, the system only displays a cryptic spell name; "Elragment Spell."

Max had tried to cast the spell on various objects throughout the morning. He aimed it at a nearby tree, expecting it to grow taller or stronger, but nothing happened. He tried it on a loaf of bread, thinking it might transform or multiply, but again, no change. Frustrated, Max couldn't figure out the spell's true purpose.

Snickers was busy gathering their gear, preparing for the long walk ahead. Max approached him with a smile. "Hey, Snickers, I've been trying to figure out this spell, and I thought maybe I could try it on you. Just to see what it does."

Snickers turned to Max with a wary look. "No way, Max. You don't know what that spell does. You found it in the library of a Demon Lord follower. I am not going to be your guinea pig."

Max sighed, his curiosity unsatisfied. As Snickers turned away to continue packing, Max's desire to understand the spell's effects took over him. He quietly muttered the incantation, directing the spell towards Snickers.

A sudden scream pierced the air. Snickers spun around, eyes wide with fear. "What did you do?" he demanded.

Max held up his hands defensively. "Nothing happened, see? You're fine."

Snickers felt a little bit different, but he could understand what was different about him. He huffed and went back to his tasks, shaking his head. "You're crazy, Max. Don't do that again!"

Max let out a breath he didn't realize he was holding. As they continued their journey, Max noticed something odd. Snickers' chest seemed… different. They were slowly getting bigger, and now they were significantly larger, visible under the robe. Snickers, however, remained blissfully unaware, and Max decided to keep quiet, hoping the spell would wear off.

The rain had started falling steadily, transforming the path into a muddy mess. Max and Snickers walked slowly, making random jokes. Snickers' larger chest seemed to go unnoticed, and Max silently prayed it would stay that way.

Suddenly, Snickers stopped, looking down at himself, confused and in horror. "What the…?" he muttered, his hands running over his chest.

Max's heart sank as Snickers' realized what was going on. "What did you do to me?!" Snickers yelled.

"I'm sorry, Snickers," Max stammered. "I didn't know what the spell would do. I thought it was harmless."

Snickers glared at Max, his eyes on fire. "Harmless? Look at me! How am I supposed to travel like this?"

Max tried to reach out to him, but Snickers slapped his hand away. "Just stay away from me," Snickers growled, turning his back on Max.

PRESENT

The rain had intensified. Max slipped and fell again, cursing under his breath. He looked up at Snickers, hoping for some sign of forgiveness, but Snickers merely shook his head and kept walking. Max had to find a way to reverse the spell, but until then, he had to endure Snickers' cold treatment.

The wind howled around him. The path ahead seemed endless, each step a fight against the weather. Max's mind raced with possible solutions, a way to reverse the spell and make Snickers forgive him. But there was a giant storm ahead they had to face.

"If I use it once again? Maybe it'll be normal again?" Max asked, his hands above the fire.

"Or they'll become even bigger!" Snickers kept touching his breasts.

"STOP TOUCHING THEM! You're making this weird!"

"You're the one that gave me these!" he wiggled them. "You should feel weird."

Max was glad Snickers decided to talk to him again. He was mad for what seemed to be years, but now together they tried to figure out how to rewind a spell.

"It doesn't say anywhere how long it lasts, maybe it will go on its own?" Max started looking at the scroll.

"Or, they will be like this forever?!"

"I already told you that I'm sorry, we will fix it somehow. I will fix it!"

"And I'm going to sleep."

Max stayed up until morning, trying to find a way to cure his friend and reverse the spell.

The sun woke Snickers up, he stretched and yawned. Yesterday felt like a giant blur, now it wasn't raining, and the weather was nice for a change. He stared touching his breasts.

"MAX! Look! It is back to normal again! I'm cured! You were right!" A small dance of victory began to take place next to the sleeping bags.

"I'm glad to hear that friend." Max stood up, and Snickers started laughing, he couldn't control himself. Max's breasts were now large as well, and Max knew it. "Good thing to know, because I couldn't find a solution last night."

"So it backfired and hit you?!" Snickers kept laughing.

"No…" Max rubbed his eyes. "I did it to myself to test how to get rid of it. Just like you can see, I didn't figure it out." He started jumping in place, his breasts jumping up and down with him.

"Now that I see it like this," Snickers fought to catch a breath. "It really is a funny, good, spell, would definitely confuse an enemy!"

"The next time an enemy approaches, his tits are going to be massive!"

They laughed together, the storm had passed.

"It was a long night," Max laughed.
