"Professor!" Derrick exclaimed with a look of relief on his face.
"Human?" Code yelled bitterly, "What the hell are you doing here?"
"Sorry about that." Finch said half- laughing, "I just came to pick up my student. Thank you for taking care of him."
Code laughed belligerently but with awkward delight.
"Another hunter. I can have fun killing both of you."
"Still as sadist as ever I see." Finch jeered.
"Don't talk like we know each other." Code responded.
"But we do." Finch responded plainly to Derrick's surprise.
"Eh?" Exclaimed both Derrick and Code.
"Come on now; don't you remember me, Code?" Finch asked with an awfully placed smirk plastered on his face. He spoke in a falsified voice that seemed to come out so naturally.
Code's eyes widened in realization and resentment.
"You?" Code spat bitterly as he recognized the voice. "What the hell are you playing at?"
"Who knows." Finch said, switching between his original voice and the falsified. "Maybe I just want to have fun."
"You cur." Code spat, "I'll definitely be killing you now."
"Sure. I was getting tired of all this talking." Finch said, finally looking serious.
Before Code could move a muscle, Derrick dashed towards him with his right fist clenched to land a blow. Code's face didn't betray any emotion; rather, he continued moving towards Finch who was behind Derrick.
To his surprise, Derrick's fist as well as his entire body passed through Code who continued towards Finch. Its entire arm transformed into a large blade which it swung at Finch.
Finch smirked and something like a small scale explosion was triggered right where he stood. Code jumped backwards, his hand was injured but already healing; however, Finch was unharmed.
Just as Code got out, Derrick ambushed him once more for the punch but only passed through him.
"Again?" Derrick muttered to himself frustrated.
The moment Derrick passed through, Code transformed its other hand into a similarly large blade and aimed at Derrick. Just before it would hit him, Finch appeared, grabbed Code's transfigured arm, then hit the demon in the gut with his wide open palm.
From Code's facial expression, Derrick could already deduce just how painful the hit must have been, and it was very painful. He couldn't help but notice just how fluid Finch's movements were. It was like there was an added force to his attack.
Finch continued bombarding the demon with hits, then he spun around and kicked Code in the neck, sending the demon flying across the room.
"How did you hit him?" Derrick asked.
"Didn't you notice?" Finch answered, "He has to return to a solid state before he can attack."
"I see." Derrick said silently cursing himself for not thinking about that. "So we just have to time it."
"Exactly!" Finch responded.
Their entire conversation was made in hushed tones, just outside Code's hearing range.
Code, who was on the other side of the room, was beyond shock. He never expected Finch to be that fast or strong or even be able to hit him.
"Tsk." Muttered Code. "I might need a different approach."
He ran towards Finch as though he wanted to attack. Just as he was about to land a hit, Derrick came in to punch him. Surprisingly, Code retained his ghostly form and passed through.
He then spun around his feet swiftly aiming its sword hand into Finch's back. Finch responded by twisting away, creating an opening for Derrick to land a blow on the demon. The punch sent the demon flying out the house through the hole Finch had blasted for the door.
"After you." Finch said, half curtsying while pointing out at the demon. Derrick ran after it but what amazed him the most was how calm Finch was. He was practically playing around the whole fight yet dominating. Derrick had never been that relaxed when facing a demon before.
Derrick ran out of the room into a mildly temperate outdoor weather with a just perfect level of sunlight.
He took a quick glance back and realized that there were no other houses on either side of the small house he came out of. Whoever lived there definitely wanted to live alone. Derrick felt it was unfortunate he had to die alone too.
He ran towards the demon but was surprised as Finch was able to run after him and overtake him.
Finch ran through Code, spun around, attempted to punch the demon but watched as his hand kept going through. When Code was about to retaliate, Derrick came up and punched him.
Derrick and Finch continued like that, overwhelming Code with numerous attacks. It seemed as though he couldn't keep up his ghost-like form for too long which came to their advantage.
Code tried to get physical with them but it was futile. The demon was overwhelmed nonetheless.
Finch and Derrick came at Code from both sides. Just as the demon thought it was finished, a strong gust of wind washed over the area.
The wind filled Derrick with a sort of nostalgia, causing him to murmur his sister's name without realizing it.
The winds became more intense as a figure dropped from the sky. It was blonde with a weak jawline and average figure. Its eyes were shut as though it was sleeping.
"Lord Kamikaze?" Code muttered as the figure picked it up.
"Is that a human or a demon?" Derrick asked himself. "No! This feeling…It's definitely a demon and far more ominous than any I have faced so far."
For a moment, Derrick couldn't move. He was terrified of the demon before him.
Kamikaze released another gust of wind. This time, the wind decimated the house behind them without touching them.
Derrick turned around to see the house. When he looked back, Kamikaze and Code had disappeared without a trace.
