~ With Aiden ~

"Soldier, set up your machine gun! That is not a semi-automatic rifle or a pistol!" Shouted a blood-stained NPC teammate beside Aiden amidst the relentless gunfire.

Following the advice, he quickly set up the weapon's bipod and gripped the trigger with both hands for stronger support. The machine gun's magazine fed bullets rapidly from right to left, mowing down the approaching enemies like wheat under a scythe.

In the chaotic battlefield of World War I, the machine gun was a deadly weapon. Although Aiden was well hidden behind his cover, the rapid, distinctive sound of machine gun fire immediately attracted the enemy's attention.

In the next instance, bullets rained down on his position, and while the NPC machine gunners around him took cover and reloaded, Aiden stood there, changing magazines as if it were a typical FPS game.

Bang. . . Bang . . . Bang . . . Bang . . .

A series of bullets hit his exposed body. With the highly advanced VR equipment, he felt the impact from various parts of his upper body, accompanied by a brief, mosquito-bite-like tingling sensation. Suddenly, Aiden's in-game character fell to the ground, his vision fading slowly in a red visage.

"Huh, what the hell?! There's no health bar in this game, and you just die after a few shots?!" Aiden exclaimed, disoriented by the sudden, realistic feedback.

Even his viewers were caught off-guard, their excitement growing after noticing the unique feature of the game.

"I am watching this in VR, and it felt like I was playing myself! That scared the hell out of me!"

"But you have to admit, this realism is next level. This is exactly how it would be on a real battlefield – a few shots and you're done for!"

The realistic feedback was part of Alex's redesign after redeeming Battlefield from the system. He aimed to create an immersive experience, deleting the UI health bar and setting the game to the highest difficulty level for two reasons.

First, the increased difficulty would make players take the game more seriously, enhancing the realistic war atmosphere. Second, the sudden deaths would generate strong emotions, converting to impact value for Alex.

Unaware of these underlying hidden mechanisms, Aiden was both frustrated and thrilled. This new game was incredibly immersive and challenging to him. For the first time after entering the game, Aiden finally spoke to his viewers.

"Guys, this game is on another level! It's so. . . Professional and realistic. As long as they don't go overboard with the micros, then I am definitely sticking with this one!"

Aiden's enthusiasm was obvious, and his viewers felt it too.

"Bro, stop yapping, get back in the fight!"

"FUUUUUCK MY POTATO PC!!! Aiden, my setup is not good enough to play, so why don't you hurry up and start playing damnit!"

"Get back in there, the fight's not over yet!"

While Aiden was caught up in his excitement, his viewers noticed that his in-game perspective had shifted to another position after he was shot. A machine gun was set up in front of him, and the front line had just fallen under the enemy's control. But what stunned both Aiden and his viewers was the next instance.

There upon the distant sky, a colossal, slow-moving object was approaching.

"What the. . . FUCK! FUCK! FUCK!" Aiden's eyes widened, rendered speechless by the sheer scale of the scene before him. In just ten minutes, the game had already managed to shock him multiple times.

The battlefield, ablaze with war, echoed with the sounds of fighting and gunfire. The cloudy, rainy weather and smoke from the flames obscured the sky. But then, tearing through the smoke and clouds, a massive airship appeared, like a monster soaring through the skies.

His viewers who were knowledgeable about World War I recognized it immediately – a Zeppelin Airship. Experiencing the imposing presence of this behemoth through VR was incomparable to merely reading about it or seeing pictures.

"HOLY SHIT! THAT'S A ZEPPELIN! DURING WORLD WAR I, THAT MONSTER WAS AN UNSTOPPABLE WAR MACHINE!"

"I thought tanks were enough in the game, but a Zeppelin too?! What's next? Are we going to see dreadnoughts next. . . ARE WE?!"

"Okay, it is officially. My mind is BLOWN! It is unbelievable for a game to be this. . . amazing!"

In the game, Aiden snapped out of his shock. The Zeppelin is a formidable enemy in the game. And as it approached, it began bombarding their camp.

In past Battlefield games, Zeppelins were often seen as large, easy targets for racking up points. But seeing this giant beast looming overhead, unleashing a rain of destruction, was an entirely different experience. Despite its reputation in previous games in Alex's previous life, the sight of the Zeppelin descending upon the camp instilled a sense of awe and dread into every player currently playing the game.

"HOLD YOUR POSITION! WE CAN'T LET THEM BREAK THROUGH!" Aiden heard an NPC commander shout, pulling him back to the urgency of the battle.

Taking cover once again, Aiden aimed his weapon at the approaching enemy soldiers. The thunderous roar of the Zeppelin's engines filled the air, while its massive body cast an ominous shadow over the battlefield.

"Let's see what you're made of." He muttered, squeezing the trigger. The machine gun roared to life, and bullets sprayed towards the oncoming enemy soldiers.

As the chaos of the battlefield played out, the live stream chat was just as chaotic.

"This is pure chaos! I've never seen anything like this in a game before!"

"Take down that Zeppelin, Aiden!"

"This is unreal! The scale of this battle is insane!"

"Keep going, you've got this!"

The sense of immersion was unlike anything this world had seen before. The smell of gunpowder, the deafening sounds of battle, the feeling of heat from the explosions – it all felt so real. Aiden could almost taste the grit and grime of the war.

As the battle raged on, his heart pounded in his chest. The intensity of the game, combined with the advanced VR setup, made it an unforgettable experience. Then, amidst the chaos, a new objective flashed on the screen: Defend the camp and Destroy the Zeppelin!
